The Bible as a Family Guideline:

The Bible very clearly establishes the family unit as the foundation for a healthy, moral social structure. WTCS requires that each day have time set aside for Bible class. High school students are required to have one Bible credit per year to graduate.

WTCS seeks to help parents instill strong Biblical values in every student.  We believe this is critical in promoting a healthy family structure; thus values are an integral part of our policies and curriculum. They are the norm, not the exception.

Our faculty communicates and applies God’s Word clearly at all grade levels. They are committed to the highest standard of excellence for the glory of God and the benefit of the family.

Parental Responsibility:

WTCS recognizes that parents have the primary responsibility in teaching and training their child.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Obedience to Parents/Authorities:

Each student is instructed that it is their responsibility to be obedient to his or her parents. By doing so, we believe that parents find it easier to teach their child obedience and respect for authority. On a higher plain, students should learn the ultimate in respect for a much greater authority–God the Father.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother – which is the first commandment with a promise – that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth. Ephesians 6:1-3

Christian Philosophy in Education:

A formal education, based on a Christian philosophy, complements and affirms the efforts of parents who strive to teach their children that God is essential in all aspects of life. Other philosophies of education are man-centered and address only the education of the mind. In contrast, a Christian education seeks to make education a matter of the heart as well as the mind.

Recognizing God in Education:

A complete Christian education pursues and accepts God as the giver of all truth and knowledge. It is a process by which the WTCS staff seeks to put God in His rightful place in the educational process.

We endeavor to show God’s presence in:

   * Science from a creation standpoint
   * Mathematics as a system by which all things reflect God’s wisdom
   * Literature as a tool for communicating knowledge and God’s Word
   * Morality as a means for conveying what is Biblically right and good
   * Physical fitness for health and wellness for the body, God’s temple

It is the goal of everyone involved with WTCS to:

   * Give honor and glory to God in all things
   * Teach Godly values
   * Encourage each student to reach their full potential
   * Instill an attitude of service to God, man and country
   * Promote positive peer pressure
   * Show the love of God to others by witnessing and sharing
