Region 9 One Act Competition was at Watford City High School on November 9, 2016
WTCS performed “Bad Auditions by Bad Actors” by Ian McWethy.Short summary: “Desperate to cast a production of Romeo and Juliet, a casting director entertains 10 hopefuls who, for various reasons, are just too extreme for Shakespeare. A riotous comedy sure to entertain!”WTCS received 3rd Place!Alice Pederson, 9th grade–Honorable Mention Actor awardMadison Lackey, 9th grade–Superior Acting AwardElijah Nible, 9th grade–Superior Acting Award
**WTCS Speech students competed at regionals in Stanley on Saturday, April 9th, 2016.
Olivia Hamrick won 2nd place in Speech to Entertain & qualified for state.
Ashley Fagerland won 2nd in Serious Prose and Dramatic Interpretation, both state qualifying.
Ana VanBerkom almost made it to the final round. She lost by a tie!
State speech competition is April 23rd in Mandan.

**WTCS Band students competed at regionals in Divide County on Friday, April 8th, 2016. They were awarded 23 out of 24 points and a trip to state band competition in May.
