Giving Hearts Day was a success!! We reached our goal for the day! Because of you, our total from the 24-hour online giving event is $27,537! Add that to our matching donation of $25,000 – we topped $52,537!!
We were also the winner of the Gate City Bank $2,500 contest! Thank you everyone who nominate us. And thank you to Gate City Bank!
Donations are still coming in; they will not be matched, but are definitely welcome!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Giving Hearts Day is one of the Nation’s most successful 24-hour online giving events of the year.
Since 2008, more than $30 million has been raised to provide food for the hungry, care for our elderly, give kids a caring mentor, support spiritual growth, connect youth with the great outdoors, and deliver round-the-clock healthcare and more! For over 10 years, Giving Hearts Day has made a profound impact in North Dakota and western Minnesota.
Once again, Williston Trinity Christian School is a participating nonprofit group for 2019. Tax deductible gifts of $10 or more are matched by a generous donor up to $25,000! Every gift counts as WTCS receives no State or Federal funds.

WTCS’ FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Team, the Trinity Technicians, will be participating in the Minot Regional Qualifier at Minot State University on Saturday, January 12th.
“With adult Coaches to guide them, FIRST® LEGO® League teams (up to 10 members in grades 4-8) apply science, engineering, and math concepts, plus a big dose of imagination, to develop solutions to real-world challenges. They also design, build, and program LEGO MINDSTORMS®-based robots to perform autonomous ‘missions’ on a playing field. Along the way, they develop critical thinking, team-building, and presentation skills.”

In the morning, teams are judged in three areas: project presentation, core values, & robot design. In the afternoon, 13 robotics teams compete against each other in space-themed missions. The top three teams from the day move on to the North Dakota FLL State Championship Tournament in Grand Forks in February.
The Trinity Technicians would like to thank team sponsors: AE2S & the North Dakota Society of Professional Engineers-Chapter 5. We appreciate your support as the team grows!
Watch for more pics from the big event on Saturday!
On Monday, October 22, in their last game at home this season, the Williston Trinity Christian School’s Lady Crusaders took on the Tioga Pirates. It was an exciting game with the CRU winning in 5 sets!
The Crusaders have five seniors on their varsity team this year: Ilyssa Sanford, Madi Schell, Ashton Pierce, Kaia Poole, and Elizabeth Thomas. These ladies have led their team to a conference record of 7-2 and a season record of 9-5 with head coach Staci Haugen and assistant coach LaLynda Blotsky.
Varsity Lady Cru enters into District 15 Tournament play at New Town next week seeded #2. District 15 includes Trenton, Alexander, New Town, White Shield, and Parshall.
“There is a lot of individual talent on the team this year,” says Head Coach Staci Haugen, “and when they play together as a team they do so well. I’m looking forward to districts. We have 5 seniors on Varsity that this will be their last district tournament. I hope that we come ready to play and play cohesively as a team.”
Crusaders first district tournament game is Tuesday, October 30th at approximately 7:00pm against the winner of the Alexander-Parshall game.

Upper Missouri District Health Unit and Williston Trinity Christian School are partnering to provide flu shots to students, staff, and family members on October 17th, 1:00pm – 4:00pm. No need to set up an appointment, walk-ins only.
UMDHU files insurance with Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Sanford, and Medicaid (ND Medicaid only). If you have a different insurance company, you will have to pay for the shot up front, and UMDHU will provide a receipt to send in to your insurance to determine reimbursement. The cost of the flu shot this year is $50.00.
Anyone receiving a flu shot will need to fill out an influenza form which is available in the school office or online at www.wtcsnd.org. Please fill out the form prior to the immunization, if possible, to speed up the process. There is a front and back side to each form.
Feel free to call the school office at 701-774-9056 with any questions.
